Believing is Seeing
You have probably heard this saying the other way around, seeing is believing, but this is outdated and simply untrue.
Believing is seeing.
You have probably heard this saying the other way around, seeing is believing, but this is outdated and simply untrue.
Waiting to see something first will likely keep you so focused on the outcome of your goal, that you will miss opportunities along the way. The twists and turns along the enchanted path, that are going to nourish your spirit on a much deeper level.
Being open minded, or at its best, open hearted is when you believe in the potential of the infinite opportunities around you and are therefore able to grasp more than you imagined and find the miracles in the unlikeliest of places, creating deep gratitude and understanding.
To believe, practice holding on to thoughts in your heart space and really imagine how it feels to already have and taste, touch, smell and experience. Do this as often as possible and watch how your reality begins to align with this belief, and you begin to see it presenting itself in the world around you.
It’s a way of taking action and responsibility in and for your own life. So many of us are just suspended in a state of habitual passive existence, waiting to see something or know all the answers first. Passing responsibility on to someone or something else, never truly owning your choices or taking action in life.
There is never a good time to make life changing choices or step out of your comfort zone, but the greatest growth comes from pushing that edge. Be it the new job, the new baby, the new home or the next step in a relationship, we are faced with our own discomfort and fears (judgement, failure, success, abandonment) that eventually force us to leap, or just stay the same.
We believed we could, so we did!
You can practice the art of believing/manifesting/altering your reality by focusing on smaller desired outcomes. For example; in the morning when you wake up, take a moment to hold on to the belief that you will have a great day. Hold the thought in your heart space, remember the last great day you had and feel it. Feel what you loved about it and bring that feeling into the present. I promise, even if everything does not go exactly your way, you will be able to tap into that good feeling and rise above any drama that unfolds. You may even notice how much easier it is to navigate challenges and problem solve from within this mindset, and what could have been experienced as a negative, might now present good new opportunities for you to harness, that would have been missed if you were caught up in the drama.
Maybe I am wrong, maybe I a right? I believe for now that I am right, and I believe in you.
A little of my story...
A little about how my path has led me to a career in holistic therapies.
Why Reflexology?
In March 2013, I was excited to learn that I was expecting my third child. Within the first 8 weeks of pregnancy, my body began releasing an overload of hormones to relax the ligaments in my pelvis, for my hips to accommodate the expansion of my womb. This caused a severe amount of chronic pain through my hips and sacrum, and for most of the pregnancy my hips and belly were strapped up and I struggled to walk without the aid of crutches. It was one of the most challenging experiences of my life, also having to care for a 3 and 2 year old, while their father worked away. I birthed my beautiful baby boy at home, and he was perfect in every way. I regained the ability to walk unaided almost immediately, however I suffered constant chronic hip and lower back pain, and very little seemed to help. Physiotherapy and Bowen Therapy, as well as some topical herbal anti-inflammatories would ease the pain for a short while, but never more than a day or so. Then I came across Reflexology and it changed my world! After just a few treatments, I was experiencing long lasting relief from the pain and inflammation I had suffered daily for over 2 years. Not only that, I experienced improvement in my mental health, sleep quality and digestive system too. The benefits of Reflexology truly speak for themselves and I have made it my mission now as a Clinical Reflexologist to focus my intention on helping as many others as possible.
Why Reiki / Energy Healing and Meditation?
As a child I always had the ability to see spirit, and spent many nights with the blankets over my head unable to sleep due to all the paranormal activity. It was my normal, and something I didn't discuss, as I just assumed it's how everyone experienced the world around them. Somewhere around 7 or 8 years old, I closed the door on the spiritual world and did anything I could to fit in with those around me. It wasn't until moving to Perth, Australia at age 12 that the door was flung open again due to the affect of hormones and the change in my energy. Very soon I was experiencing constant spirit presences, precognitive dreams and strange coincidences multiple times a day. I confided in my parents, who gratefully, were open minded and found me a mentor of sorts to help me understand the who/what/why. I was able to call upon her when I needed advice, or needed the spirit world to back off to be able to focus on schooling.
On completing school, I began sitting in a psychic development circle hosted by my mentor. For almost 10 years I met, sat with, confided in and held space with the most remarkable group of human beings. We laugh and we cried on a weekly basis, as we learned the process of unravelling through self healing, psychic development and mediumship. I am forever grateful for these incredible years of spiritual growth and the skills and understanding I learned.
Since then, I have continued my studies in the intuitive arts in between growing and raising my three children. I have hosted meditation groups and development workshops, I have trained to Reiki Master level, worked with nature and herbs, crystals and animals and directly with spirit guides and other dimensions to deepen my understanding. Having an awareness of spiritual process and an understanding of meditation are skills that I honestly couldn't function without. It is an honour to offer these skills and share them with those who feel drawn to healing and/or their own personal development in whatever form that may be.
I am always in awe of the way our life experiences shape our future, and our choices and even how that goes on to affect everyone around us. I am grateful for all of the experiences that have led me to this exact moment, and I am hungry for a life that continues to be filled with more learning and adventure eventually becoming the shape of my future.

The Strength of a Woman
We are the Midwives. The strong ones. The wise ones. We are the bringers of life and the custodians of death. Our gift. Our curse.
Today I am searching for an answer, a conclusion in this time of New Moon, to what has felt like a battle of chaos and confusion. Longing for understanding from a place of unravel and heaviness. A time of quiet reflection and processing.
Interesting, I began finding solace in my own words. Drawn to pick up my book and read the passage Spiritual Midwives;
[Women] We remain focused and unswayed.
We are the keepers of truths
Stored deeply within the folds
Of our collective womb,
Accessible each time we vibrate
In accordance with her frequency.
A reminder that Women are chosen as the portal, the bridge between worlds, the bringers of life because we are the only vessel strong enough to stay the course. The only container equipped to survive the life-threatening process, time after time. The only being powerful enough to remain in their grace, whilst expanding and holding the depth of love required to maintain the selfless act of creation.
But with this great power and responsibility, we are also the only beings strong enough to hold death. Each month, as is reflected with the moon, when the potential of life is not fulfilled nor possible, we are the ones here to hold space for that death as it slowly and painfully crumbles away the lining of our womb. Grieving what could have been. Grieving our right to create and to nurture. Grieving a loss that was never ours to keep.
And as we expand in life and growth, we too expand our capacity to hold death and grief. This is where wisdom is born. A seed of understanding created somewhere in between the lightest and the darkest of our experiences.
We are the Midwives. The strong ones. The wise ones. We are the bringers of life and the custodians of death. Our gift. Our curse.
How Do Integrate My Higher Self Without Being A Weirdo?
Taking the leap of faith to live in your own truth, and follow your own path can feel extremely vulnerable. Is there a way of doing it gently?
How do I begin to integrate my higher self into this life without looking like a weirdo?
Good question.
You can’t! Once you dive into the great waters of self development and spiritual exploration, others will begin questioning your sanity, as much as you have begun to question your own.
In the process of becoming who you have always been, you will appear different to others, you will lose friends and old habits. Mindsets and possessions that you no longer need will start to crumble away. It is the great unraveling, stripping you back to that beautiful sparkle at the very nature of your being. It is no thing to fear, it just is. It is terrifying and exciting and most definitely addictive once you dip your toe into the water and begin to understand the delicate blueprint of your hearts truth.
But, just as everything in nature is balanced, so too is your awakening! For every challenge you encounter (which of course is just an opportunity for growth and healing) you will be offered new friendships, soul connections and opportunities to harness your highest potential in abundance and skills to love and accept yourself in wholeness.
You will feel compelled to share your excitement and enthusiasm with others, and you will be mocked. You will want to tell everyone how much you love them and how fucking incredibly grateful you are to have them in your life, and they may take a step back because you are too much.
You will begin to feel more connected to everything around you than ever before, and yet more alone than you have felt in your life.
Your ego will be tested again and again, until you understand that this flesh pocket we inhabit in this earthly life, is nothing but a vessel, a navigation tool to unlock the experiences necessary for the growth and evolution we hope to accomplish on this journey.
Once seen, you can no longer unsee. Trust me though, it is all worth it. You are no longer trying, you just are! And you are such a fucking ray of sunshine and hope on our little green and blue planet. You are the one you’ve been waiting for. Shine your sparkle and love hard!
Communicating with the Spirit World
Insight into the mechanics of communicating with the spirit world.
I often get asked ‘how’ I receive messages from the universe or spirit world.
The answer is fluid and open to interpretation, it cannot be defined or backed by a scientific formula to validate my experiences for you. Simply because I work with natural and etheric cycles, which exist based on alchemic formulas, not scientific.
It’s like trying to explain to someone how cars work by giving you a bowl of fruit. Not the same, therefore no matter how long I ask you to examine the bowl of fruit, you will never learn the mechanics of a car?
So... nature, the universe, the spirit world (insert what resonates best here) communicate with me (bearing in mind I can only share based on my own personal experiences, and understand that it varies greatly for others. There is no right or wrong. We feel what we feel) using subtle symbols. And the more one sits in the discipline and practices, the more natural it becomes to receive and decipher messages.
In matters of my own personal development, I find that the symbols will start off very subtle, gently supporting the physical reality. If I miss opportunity for acknowledgement the symbols build and build until it becomes like a lesson in life slapping you in the face.
Another noteworthy point is that intuition always feels good…that is, when you ask yourself a question and tune in, your intuition always answers with a positive feeling.
For example, “Should I sell my car?”…your intuition (or gut) will feel at ease and good if selling your car is best for you at this time. If you get uneasy feeling, you can rephrase the question to sense the alternate response; “Should I keep my car?”…if the gut feeling is positive and at ease, then you are telling yourself that for now it is best to hold on to the car. Judging what feels good or not good to do, becomes easier with practice too!
Another form of communication I enjoy is through the animal kingdom. For example, a butterfly lands on your hand out of nowhere and sits there calmly, drawing your attention. You can tune in to the energy of the butterfly (or search one of the many great animal totem blog sites) and you feel that the butterfly is symbolic of transformation in a particular area of your life, career, love life etc. If you are open to this, you will begin to see animals showing up physically, digitally or in dreams.
Recently, I had an experience where I felt someone was being dishonest with me. I couldn’t quite put my finger on the details (and often the details are not necessary until we are offered the gift of hindsight), but my intuition told me that things were not as they appeared. One night, I had a very vivid dream where myself and a group of friends were sitting around a fire and all of a sudden an ocelot walked through the middle of the camp. It was unusual, and I woke up thinking about ocelots. Out of all the big cats, I can honestly say that ocelots are not up there in my conscious mind's top five. So, I search for this animal totem on my phone (as you do!) and am shocked to read that ocelot appears when someone is not being honest or doing things behind your back etc… So for me, this was the confirmation and forewarning that I needed to protect my integrity by not reacting and becoming either the bully or the victim once the truth unfolded. About a week later, it did bubble to the surface, but because I had processed the emotions, I was able to respond mindfully and not react like an asshole (which would only cause more healing work for me down the track).
That is just one personal example of how messages are able to be received when I am free flowing and aware of what is around me, and how it can be a useful tool to monitor and maintain an gentle space within and not get caught up in the drama of experiences and circumstances.
I welcome you to share your own stories, or ask me deeper questions regarding my personal experiences and understanding.
